The learning call will address concerns related to recent draft of Broadcasting Services (Regulations) Bill and laws such as the Telecommunications Act, 2023, the Press & Registration of Periodicals Act, 2023, the IT Rules Amendment Act 2023 as well as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The call aims to facilitate meaningful discussion on the same to understand their grave consequences on free speech, journalistic freedoms and privacy – specifically focusing on free speech in digital age.
